How we approach website design

Fewer decisions for you to make, a site that actually reflects your business, and no dead weight slowing it down.

Most website projects go wrong before a single line of code gets written — because nobody stopped to ask what the site is actually for. So that's where we start: what your business does, who's supposed to land on the page, and what you want them to do once they're there. Everything else follows from that.

Design principles

We build mobile-first, since most visitors will never see the site on a desktop screen. Pages load fast because we don't stack the site with plugins and tracking scripts it doesn't need. And every page has one clear next step for the visitor — a call, a quote request, a booking — instead of ten competing buttons.

The process

A short call to understand your business, a first draft to react to, a couple of rounds of revisions, then launch. Most one-page sites go live within about two weeks of getting your details and content. You're not stuck reading documentation or learning a page builder — we handle the build and the ongoing upkeep.

What a redesign looks like

Below is a demo redesign we put together to show the kind of transformation we aim for — drag the slider to compare a dated, cluttered layout against a clean rebuild.
